BEGINNER JAZZ

Tuesday 6:35-8:05pm - at PMT House of Dance

Starting with a fun-cardio warm up and conditioning, this class will help you master your Jazz foundation. Followed by a challenging and fun across the floor or at the center sequence working on pirouettes technique, battements and other elements that will later be used in the combination. Finishing with a choreography where you will train different skills (weight shift, picking up choreography, dynamics and musicality), training the body and brain to learn and enjoy at the same time.

This class is for students with a minimum knowledge of technique (6 months of training minimum).

BEGINNER CONTEMPORARY

Thursday 6-7:30pm- at PMT House of Dance

Starts with a guided mindfulness exercise, followed by a throughout warm up/stretching section to wake up the spine and activate the muscles. Followed by across the floor working on floorwork technique, spirals and other elements that will be used in the choreography.  We will finish on a choreography using elements worked during the warm up. Focusing on expression, flow and the exploration of each student uniqueness when executing the choreography.

This class is for students with a minimum knowledge of technique (6 months of training minimum). Long pants or knee-pads are highly recommended.

ADV. BEG. CONTEMPORARY

Friday 6-7:30pm- at PMT House of Dance

Starts with a guided mindfulness exercise, followed by a throughout warm up/stretching section to wake up the spine and activate the muscles. The center part of this class is the technique part where we work on plies, tendus, contractions, balance and strengthening while connecting to our breath and body.

This class will focus on creating a safe space for students to explore performance as well as challenging the body with floorwork exercises and across the floor to develop and master technique (balances, spirals, tilts, turns). Finishing with a choreography applying elements worked during warm up; working on musicality and dynamics above anything else and finding a deep connection to ourselves.

 

This class is for students with an advanced knowledge of basic technique and fundamentalsLong pants or knee-pads are highly recommended.
